About Us
St. Joseph School, founded in 1892, is an RCAB accredited, Catholic co-educational elementary school with students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. St. Joseph School is a Catholic School established to serve the academic and spiritual needs of a culturally rich community. For over a century we have been a source of academic excellence and a model of stability in a rapidly changing world.
St. Joseph School offers a 3 or 5, half or full day Pre-Kindergarten, Full day Kindergarten and Grades one through eight. We also offer an after school program from dismissal until 6:00 PM. Students participate in arts and crafts, free play and homework assistance.
Academic standards are high at St. Joseph School. Our students are achievers and consistently perform well on standardized tests in all subject areas. Each year, 90% of our graduates go on to attend Catholic High Schools and honors programs at local high schools.
The Arts are alive and well! Students enjoy professional performances and field trips to area cultural institutions. They participate in weekly Visual Arts and Music classes culminating in an Art Fair and Music Concert. St. Joseph School offers a Drama Club with a outstanding performance of a musical each year.
We offer state of the art Computer Facilities in our networked PC laboratory with supervised access to the Internet. In order to assist every student to reach his or her potential, St. Joseph School has a team of educators able to provide the individual and small group tutorials.
Physical education and sports are important at St. Joseph School. Students participate in weekly physical education classes. Students in Grades 5 through 8 may also participate in the boys and girls "Saints" junior and varsity basketball teams and Cross-Country team.
